Department of Japanese Language and Literature aims to cultivate the potentiality of our students to be able to adjust themselves to any situations or circumstances related to the language of Japanese they might face in their future. Through courses of Liberal Arts students learn to become well-rounded persons. Through major courses of Japanese students learn various subjects from linguistics such as phonology and syntax and literature such as novels and poems. Curriculum also assures competence in communication and cultural understanding to study and work in international environments.
