Salatiga–Yogyakarta, January 23, 2026 – Jakarta International University (JIU) strengthened its academic network through a series of official visits to Central Java from January 20 to 23, 2026. The visit reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to building strategic partnerships and enhancing collaboration in education and research.
During the four-day agenda, the JIU delegation visited three leading universities: Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) in Salatiga, as well as Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) and Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY) in Yogyakarta. The visits aimed to deepen institutional understanding, exchange best practices, and explore concrete opportunities for future collaboration.
At UKSW, discussions centered on developing a shared framework for academic growth, particularly in the field of Information Technology. The JIU team was received by the leadership of the Faculty of Information Technology, including Prof. Ir. Daniel H.F. Manongga, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Dean), Hendry, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D. (Vice Dean), and Prof. Dr. Kristoko Dwi Hartomo, M.Kom. (Head of the Information Systems Department). Both institutions highlighted the importance of strengthening faculty development, aligning academic resources, and creating clearer pathways for student academic progression.
In Yogyakarta, JIU continued its engagement at UKDW through meetings with the Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations, led by Dr. Phil. Lucia Dwi Krisnawati, S.S., M.A. and Dr. Paulus Widiatmoko, M.A., along with their team members Dianti Resti Risanti, S.T., Christina Angelina Puspitasari, S.I.Kom., and Anna Iritasari, S.Si. The dialogue focused on building a more interconnected academic community, emphasizing structured communication and strategic planning. Potential collaborations discussed included academic exchanges, cultural programs, and joint initiatives designed to create meaningful impact for students and lecturers.
The visit concluded at UAJY, where discussions moved toward practical implementation, including plans for guest lectures and international short course programs.
The JIU delegation consisted of Dimaz Ramananda, S.E., M.Ak. (Director of Academic Affairs), Sarah Wenda, B.Sc. (Coordinator of Strategic Partnership), and Leonardo Mangu, S.Ip. (Marketing & Admission Staff). They returned with strengthened institutional ties and a clearer roadmap for collaboration.
Through these strategic visits, JIU reaffirms its mission to expand academic cooperation, enhance educational quality, and contribute to sustainable academic development in Indonesia.
