JIU Strengthens Outreach in Central Sulawesi Through Marketing Trip to Luwuk and Bunta

Jakarta International University (JIU) conducted a marketing trip to Central Sulawesi from November 11–17, 2025, with activities centred in the Luwuk and Bunta areas. The visit aimed to strengthen JIU’s presence in the region, introduce its educational opportunities, and build connections with schools, churches, and community leaders. The trip also supported JIU’s efforts to expand visibility and explore collaborative opportunities for the upcoming academic year.

High School Engagement

Across the week, the JIU team visited six high schools in Luwuk:
SMAN 1 Luwuk, SMAN 2 Luwuk, SMAN 3 Luwuk, SMA Kristen GKLB, SMA Katolik Santo Yoseph, and SMKN 2 Luwuk.

Each school visit featured presentations on JIU’s academic programs, student activities, and admissions process. Students showed strong interest, particularly in Korean-related activities, which remain highly popular among youth in Central Sulawesi.
In total, the school outreach engaged approximately 300 students from diverse backgrounds, reflecting JIU’s inclusive approach to community engagement.

Beyond school outreach, the team also connected with local church communities. Visits to GKLB Bukit Moria and GKLB Mawar Sharon Bunta engaged around 350 congregants through presentations, conversations, and a youth service hosted by GAMKI Luwuk.
These sessions created a welcoming environment for young people and families to learn more about JIU’s values, academic strengths, and student life in a more personal and interactive setting.

Support from Local Partners

The trip also involved productive collaboration with partners in Palu and Parigi. These partners assisted in distributing JIU’s promotional materials across surrounding districts, helping expand the university’s visibility to areas beyond the team’s travel route. Their support significantly strengthened the impact and reach of JIU’s campaign in Central Sulawesi.

The trip provided valuable on-ground experiences, deepened community connections, and opened new pathways for future cooperation. It marks another important step in JIU’s mission to reach and inspire students across Indonesia.
