Jakarta International University (JIU) held the Next Generation Entrepreneurship Training (NGET) 2026 on June 30, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Organized through the UNESCO UNITWIN program, the one-day training brought together students from Jakarta International University and Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) to explore entrepreneurship and learn how ideas can be developed into meaningful opportunities.
Entrepreneurship involves more than starting a business. It also means learning to recognize opportunities, solve problems, and think creatively when facing challenges. NGET provided a space for students from both universities to explore these ideas beyond their regular classroom activities.
Exploring Entrepreneurship Beyond the Classroom
The training focused on entrepreneurial thinking and the skills needed to respond to a changing world. Through entrepreneurship education, students can learn to look at challenges from different perspectives and consider new ways to approach problems.
Bringing together students from JIU and UPH also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange perspectives, share ideas, and learn from one another. These skills are useful not only for those interested in starting a business but also for students preparing to enter the professional world. Creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving can play an important role in many career paths.
Supporting Students’ Future Development
NGET 2026 was part of JIU’s efforts to provide students with learning opportunities beyond academic coursework. Programs like this introduce students to ideas and skills that they can apply in their studies, future careers, and personal projects.
The training also reflects JIU’s involvement in the UNESCO UNITWIN program, which promotes collaboration and knowledge development in higher education.
Through initiatives such as NGET, JIU continues to support students from different academic communities as they develop their interests, explore new possibilities, and prepare for the challenges ahead.
