Since 2006

Since its inception in 2006, with the establishment of Foundation Duranno Indonesia, Jakarta International University (JIU) has been thoughtfully envisioned and prepared to shape the future of Indonesia. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of Indonesian leaders — young professionals with a global mindset, exceptional knowledge, and unwavering integrity — who will drive positive change in both Indonesian society and the world at large.

Through a unique collaboration with educational institutions and educators in South Korea, Japan, China, India, and the U.S.A., JIU has created a dynamic, multi-lingual, inter-cultural, and international campus. We warmly welcome students who are eager to push boundaries, expand their horizons, and turn their dreams into reality.

OUR JURNEY

History & Milestones

2006

Establishment of Foundation

Foundation Duranno Indonesia was founded by Seo Man-su.

Yayasan Duranno Indonesia didirikan oleh Seo Man-su.

2008

Land Acquisition

Foundation Duranno Indonesia purchased 50,000 m² of land in Delta Mas for the future JIU campus.

Yayasan Duranno Indonesia membeli lahan seluas 50.000 m² di Delta Mas untuk pembangunan kampus JIU di masa depan.

2012

Establishment Committee Formed

Dr. Yonggyu Lee was appointed Chairman of the JIU Establishment Committee and Chairman of the Foundation.

Dr. Yonggyu Lee ditunjuk sebagai Ketua Komite Pendirian JIU sekaligus Ketua Yayasan.

2014

Master Plan & New Institutions

JIU laid the foundation for its future campus and educational community by completing the campus master plan and establishing Cornerstone Global Academy and Bridge Language Center.

JIU meletakkan fondasi bagi pengembangan kampus dan komunitas pendidikannya di masa depan melalui penyelesaian master plan kampus serta pendirian Cornerstone Global Academy dan Bridge Language Center.

2015

ZEDU Founded & Campus Groundbreaking

APRIL 2015

Internet-based online education institution ZEDU was founded.

Institusi pendidikan online berbasis internet, ZEDU, didirikan.

SEPTEMBER 2015

A groundbreaking ceremony for the JIU campus was held at the Delta Mas school site.

Upacara peletakan batu pertama untuk pembangunan kampus JIU diadakan di lokasi sekolah Delta Mas.

2016

College of Economics Recommendation

JIU received an official recommendation from the West Java Higher Education Council for the establishment of the College of Economics.

JIU menerima rekomendasi resmi dari Dewan Pendidikan Tinggi Jawa Barat untuk pendirian Fakultas Ekonomi.

2017

Main Building Completed & Language College

JIU marked a major milestone with the completion of its main building and received the establishment recommendation for the JIU College of Foreign Languages from the West Java Higher Education Council.

JIU mencapai tonggak penting dengan selesainya pembangunan gedung utama serta menerima rekomendasi pendirian JIU College of Foreign Languages dari Dewan Pendidikan Tinggi Jawa Barat.

2018

Academic Journey Begins

JIU officially began its academic journey with the opening of the College of Foreign Languages and the College of Economics, offering programs in English Language and Literature and Accounting.

JIU secara resmi memulai perjalanan akademiknya dengan dibukanya College of Foreign Languages dan College of Economics, yang menawarkan program studi Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris serta Akuntansi.

2022

Thomas House, University Status & First Graduation

IU reached significant milestones with the completion of Thomas House dormitory, officially obtaining university status, and celebrating its first commencement ceremony.

JIU mencapai berbagai tonggak penting dengan selesainya pembangunan asrama Thomas House, diperolehnya status resmi sebagai universitas, serta diselenggarakannya upacara wisuda pertama JIU.

2026

Danvit Building & Campus Expansion

The completion of the new Danvit Hall and ID House dormitory marks another milestone in JIU's campus development, providing expanded spaces for learning, community, and student life.

Penyelesaian Danvit Hall yang baru dan asrama ID House menjadi tonggak penting lainnya dalam pengembangan kampus JIU, dengan menyediakan ruang yang lebih luas untuk pembelajaran, kebersamaan, dan kehidupan mahasiswa.
