On April 26, 2024, the Student Union of Jakarta International University organized an Art Festival known as Art Fest. Art Fest 2024 blends elements of nostalgia with modern energy under the theme “Viva La Vida,” which means Creative Young Soul and Live Long Life. Students presented various performances, including traditional dances, contemporary dances, dramas, and music, to celebrate the diversity of creativity and the spirit of youth, especially among students. The presence of visitors from within JIU and other campuses in retro attire added to the excitement, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere. Additionally, the presence of food bazaars showcasing students’ businesses, added more excitement to the Art Fest 2024 event. The hope is that events like this can enhance appreciation for culture in the modern era while stimulating students’ creativity in creating contemporary performances that still respect cultural values.
