Jakarta, November 29, 2025 — Five JIU students proudly represented the campus at the Conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy (CIFP) 2025, an annual event organized by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI). Held at Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta, the conference carried the theme “Preparing for the Next World Order: Indonesia, the Global South, and the West.”
The JIU delegates came from different majors, showcasing the university’s diverse academic strengths and student enthusiasm for global issues. Throughout the event, they participated in a series of seminar sessions that explored international relations, foreign policy challenges, and Indonesia’s strategic position in the evolving global landscape.
Despite varying academic backgrounds, including one student from English Literature, the participants found the sessions surprisingly accessible and deeply enriching. The discussions helped broaden their understanding of diplomacy, global dynamics, and international cooperation — proving that global awareness is valuable across all fields of study.
A key highlight for the JIU students was the presence of embassy booths from several countries. These interactive booths provided a unique opportunity to learn directly about global issues, diplomacy, and international programs. During their visits, the students also gained valuable information about state scholarship opportunities, which sparked new motivation and clearer academic aspirations for studying abroad.
For many of the participants, discovering scholarship pathways and international study options was one of the most meaningful parts of the event. This experience provided both inspiration and practical steps for planning their future academic journeys.
Beyond the knowledge gained, the conference became a memorable personal experience for the JIU delegates. Attending the event together made the learning process more enjoyable, and the students returned home feeling inspired, encouraged, and equipped with fresh insights to share with the JIU community.
The participation of JIU students in CIFP 2025 reflects the university’s commitment to encouraging global-mindedness and preparing students to engage confidently with international conversations. Their involvement highlights JIU’s growing presence in national and global forums and reinforces the importance of exposing students to real-world diplomatic and international discussions.
