On August 21, 2024, Jakarta International University (JIU) and SMAS Kristen YPKPM Ambon formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a virtual ceremony. Representing JIU was Dr. Agus Hartadi, S.E., M.A., Rector of the university, while SMAS Kristen YPKPM Ambon was represented by its Principal, Dra. Elonamayo Laturiuw, M.Si. This milestone agreement marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at fostering educational development and innovation.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation across three primary areas:

1. Human Resource Development
   Both institutions have committed to organizing seminars and training programs designed to enhance the skills and competencies of teachers, students, and staff. 3. Joint Promotion and Scholarship Programs
   The MoU outlines plan for joint promotional activities to increase the visibility of both institutions. This collaboration will help attract prospective students and strengthen community engagement. Furthermore, the agreement includes scholarship opportunities for outstanding students from SMAS Kristen YPKPM Ambon who aspire to continue their education at JIU. These scholarships will provide valuable support for talented students, empowering them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
