Jakarta International University (JIU) officially opened Inheritance Dormitory House on August 6, 2026. The opening ceremony was attended by members of the JIU community and representatives from ATOMY, marking the start of a new chapter for the university’s female residents.
The event began with a devotion, giving attendees time for prayer and gratitude before the official ceremony. After the opening proceedings, participants took part in a guided tour of the building to see the facilities and living spaces prepared for residents.
A New Living Space for Female Students
Inheritance Dormitory House adds to JIU’s campus facilities by providing a dedicated residence for women. Having a place to live within the campus environment can give students more opportunities to connect with one another while balancing their academic responsibilities and daily activities.
Beyond providing accommodation, the dormitory is intended to be a place where residents can build friendships and share their experiences as part of the JIU community.
A Moment of Gratitude
The opening also provided an opportunity for the JIU community to give thanks to God for the provision of the new facility. The devotion at the beginning of the event reflected the university’s faith-based identity and the importance of gratitude in its community life.
With the opening of Inheritance Dormitory House, JIU welcomes a new chapter for its female residents. The university hopes the dormitory will become a place where they can support one another, grow in faith, and create lasting memories throughout their time at JIU.
